I agree.  My prediction for the upcoming races (as posted last night in the WI Open thread):

Today:

WI: Obama
WA: Obama
HI: Obama

3/4:

RI: Obama
VT: Obama
OH: Obama
TX: Obama

Game.  Set.  Match.

9 points is still significant, and this is one poll.  I'm personally pretty pesimistic about Ohio.  Stickland is very popular and essentially is the Democratic infrastructure in the state.  He will help Clinton quite a bit.

I definitely see Texas as a better possibility for Obama.  Although I would be happy if he can simply keep her margins down in both states.

It's still 9 points, but it is also an 8 point movement from just last week be the same polling firm (the one that has been by far the best this cycle, too).  this race is closing quickly and will turn to Obama by 3/4.

He doesn't have to close the gap.  If it's close in Ohio and Texas, Clinton won't pick up enough delegates to close her gap.

Re: SurveyUSA Ohio, Clinton + 9 (none / 0)

Yeah, yeah, the delegate count is what wins the nomination.  We all understand that.

However, if Obama actually WINS OH and TX on 3/4, there's no way this race isn't over 3/5.  That is the best outcome possible.  If Hillary wins but not by a lot, then she'll say it doesn't matter, hang her hat on PA, and we get another month on Karl Rove style attacks on Obama that weaken the whole party.  We are looking at what it will take to go for the kill here.
