Rasmussen Oregon, O 51-C 39

This state is likely to be a 8-12 point Obama win.

Plus it's a mostly white swing state that Gore and Kerry barely won, so I don't want to see the Clinton Press Release saying Oregon doesn't matter.

Oregon is anti-war, and big on reform politics.  If Clinton doesn't score an upset here, it's really hard for her to have any path to the nomination

Good news for Obama, he is holding steady from his position a few weeks ago put out by SUSA

Her path to the nomination (2.00 / 2)

Is clear. Obama must slip on a banana peel. Terry MacAuliffe has been assigned the task of putting it in front of him. It's actually the most dignified task that Terry has undertaken for years.

The idea that the superdelegates will choose her (despite that fact that they reportedly DON'T LIKE HER PERSONALLY and are already committed to Obama 3-1).

Nader was a strong factor in OR in 2000 (2.00 / 1)

GOP even ran ads of Nader attacking Gor (speciously, of course) there to drive down the env. vote for Gore.

Nevertheless, there is absolutely no question that OR is a swingish state. And stragely so given that the state seems like it's anti-war, pro-environment and pro-reform.

True independents, really. Liberal in general, but liberal doesn't correspond with Democrat at all times. Similar effect in Colorado, I believe.

Better tell the pollsters, then, because they don't seem to agree with you.

Re: Rasmussen Oregon, O 51-C 39 (2.00 / 0)

Obviously that's because Oregon is 90% AA.  :)

White voters are abandoning Obama.  Clearly, he has no chance in Oregon. ;)
